WEEK 9

Today I’m going to show my progress that I’ve made which is in Proteus. I have build a circuit about my final year project by using Proteus ISIS software. The circuit design of my project is shown below in Figure GSR MODULE. Below the Proteus circuit is the real circuit after it create in Proteus.

WEEK 8

Assalamualaikum.

In this week, the project progress undergoes as usual. I was attending the workshop that was handled by FYP committee. The workshop detail is as follows:

TITLE : THESIS WRITING WORKSHOP

VENUE : SEMINAR ROOM, LEVEL 2

TIME : 4.30-6PM

SPEAKER : FYP COMMITTEE

During this workshop, the final report submission flow has been brief. All the important dates for Final Year Project 2 Students has been told by Madam Nulida, such as presentation date, draft report submission date and also final report due date.

After that, Mdm Siti Marwangi told us the flow, format and contribution marks to write the report. Alhamdulillah at 6 pm, the workshop has ended. The presentation date is on Wednesday in Week 15.

WEEK 7

Assalamualaikum,

For this week, The Construction of project steering wheel design. For the construction, i need go to welding shop to finish my design construction of steering wheel. For the steering, the galvanic skin resistance will attached to round off wheel steering. So, the stress of the driver can detect by the sensor galvanic skin resistance.

WEEK 6

Assalamualaikum,

This post is to review and study about  L298N Dual H-Bridge Motor Controller Module. The usage of H-Bridge's are typically used in controlling motors speed and direction, but can be used for other projects such as driving the brightness of certain lighting projects such as high powered LED arrays. For my project, the L298N function to control the output from micro-controller and display on motor speed.

How L298N works :

L298N
An H-Bridge is a circuit that can drive a current in either polarity and be controlled by *Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).

* Pulse Width Modulation is a means in controlling the duration of an electronic pulse. In motors try to imagine the brush as a water wheel and electrons as a the flowing droplets of water. The voltage would be the water flowing over the wheel at a constant rate, the more water flowing the higher the voltage. Motors are rated at certain voltages and can be damaged if the voltage is applied to heavily or if it is dropped quickly to slow the motor down. Thus PWM. Take the water wheel analogy and think of the water hitting it in pulses but at a constant flow. The longer the pulses the faster the wheel will turn, the shorter the pulses, the slower the water wheel will turn. Motors will last much longer and be more reliable if controlled through PWM.
